Halo Movie Begins....
July 23, 2009 - The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Microsoft is producing a Halo anime series titled Halo Legends, which will be comprised of seven short films.
The report states five production houses in Japan -- Bones, Casio Entertainment, Production I.G., Studio4 C, and Toei Animation -- are handling the physical animation, while Microsoft's creative staff is handling the approval for the visuals and storytelling.
"It's a wildly varied genre, but anime creators do things with weapons and vehicle and technology nobody else does and that marries very well with Halo," said Frank O'Connor, creative director for 343 Industries.
"It's amazing to see some of the new stuff they're introducing and how neatly it maps to the visual aesthetics in the Halo universe."
Not a lot of details about the story for the films have been revealed, but there were a few teases. Shinji Aramaki, a creative director working with Microsoft on the project, is creating his own short that will detail the history of the Spartan warrior class.
Another short from Studio4 C titled "Origins" is a two-part film, each 30 minutes long, which "tells the entire 100,000 year history of the Halo universe."
"I think the core 'Halo' fans will recognize key moments from the universe never shown in the game," he said. "They're moments where people wanted more depth. That's where this fits," O'Connor added.
The films distribution is being handled by Warner Bros. and will be available on DVD, Blu-ray and through digital distribution in early 2010. Xbox Live fans can catch a preview on the anime this fall.
A trailer for Halo Legends is expected to debut at the Halo panel at Comic Con tomorrow starting at 4:30 PST.

LeBron James Got Boo Boo'd On By Jordan Crawford
For those of you in the dark, here's the back story: Crawford dunked on LeBron during a pick-up game at The King's camp, Nike confiscated all known video evidence of the posterization, a lively debate ensued about whether the tapes were taken because they were embarrassing to LeBron or because of a long-standing Nike policy. Here are two views of all that went down.

Death In The Fam
At around 7:35pm on June 28th, My Uncle Joe(I call'd him Grandpa) passed away. He was a very nice person. Always telling everyone jokes and stuff for quick kicks. He served in the Navy for some parts of his life, had a few wars under his belt, and even had time to join the Los Angeles Police Department. My Uncle Joe was always walking around the house crackin jokes about anything he though was funny. He would always be outside wasting water on the grass that would never grow. lol. Sometimes I would see him outside on my way from work and he would always ask me how my day was. I would always tell him it was boring or tough. Then i would always try to speed pass him and get in the house to go to sleep. But he would always stop me and tell me a story about how he worked as a cook or some other of the many jobs he had. He use to tell me about his fishing trips, the trees he planted in the front yard and his job he had with the LAPD. I breaks my heart to see a good person go. but ill never forget all the jokes he told me. Even after he got his leg amputated, he was still joking around with us. Yoll always be in my heart gpa.
Working For MTV...
Haven't really told anyone about a job that was offered to me a few days ago. I'm not to sure if I wanna take it. I met my cousin Adrian from Texas for the first time. He is a pretty koo dude. I told him what I basically be doin at my current job and what not and how i was havin a hard time finding a new job. So he told me that he could hook it up with a job with MTV. But the problem is that I would have to move to Dallas, TX. My cousin Adrian is opening a new Hard Rock Restaurant in Dallas and wants me to hop on the project with him. He believes im qualified to do some work with him and move up the ladder with MTV. So idk. Im getting my resume together and my other papers together to get shit happening. But im still unsure. Like i dont mind going ou to texas to work, cuz i aint got nothing out here poppin for me. but on the other hand i wanna tie all my lose ends before i accept the job. Yeah, MTV. lol.
