Assassin's Creed 3 Patch Update

Assassin’s Creed 3 gets huge update ahead of King Washington DLC, patch notes here Assassin’s Creed 3 has received a hefty update from Ubisoft Montreal, to prep the game for the first instalment of its The Tyranny of King Washington expansion, ‘The Infamy’. The DLC is dropping on Xbox 360 and February 19th and will hit PS3 on the 20th. Here are the patch notes in full: Full patch notes: Single player sequence Fixed a potential crash in mission “Bridewell Prison” when trying to skip cinematic with Mason. Bug fix Fixed a bug preventing the creation of new Uplay accounts Removed the ability to hide pivots during pass-throughs and cinematics DLC preparation Added support for “Tyranny of King Washington: The Infamy” Fixed potential game data corruption when a DLC download ends while the player is in-game. Multiplayer modes In Wolfpack, a target doesn’t remain stuck on the ground if the player hosting the game leaves while another player is joining at the same time. In Wolfpack, some targets that were not visible to players under certain conditions can now be seen correctly. In Wolfpack, the radar is not broken under certain conditions anymore. In Artifact Assault, Team members can now correctly score when the initial artifact carrier gets killed under certain conditions. In Deathmatch, players no longer have lookalikes NPCs unless they use abilities that create lookalikes. In Deathmatch, the game no longer crashes in the New York brewery map for a player who used a Decoy while hiding in a group. Some players are no longer stuck in rematch after completing a Simple Deathmatch session on the Saint Pierre map. Ladders Some ladder issues when players left a session during the first minute have been corrected. Ladders now update properly upon a full group kick. Graphical glitches The Independent’s hair when she wears the Wild Cat costume now displays correctly. The Strong Man’s white costume, alternative costume and warrior costume now display properly when hiding in a group. Platform specific On Xbox 360, the Uplay icon and unlock conditions for unlockables redeemed via Uplay have been restored. Loyalty unlocks are now available on PC. Miscellaneous Character customization is no longer reset under certain conditions. The Wipe ability now correctly works from a distance. The timer now properly starts and players can interact with each other prior to the host getting into the session. Sound will properly keep playing when trying to watch a video under certain conditions. An error message now displays when players attempt to watch DLC videos without having the DLC installed. Chasebreakers in the Animus Core map now correctly reopen for team mates.Players are no longer stuck on leaving game session screen under certain circumstances. When you create a group in a private game, that group now stays the same through different sessions.

Next Gen Xbox Rumors

Microsoft’s next console will require an Internet connection in order to function, ruling out a second-hand game market for the platform. A new iteration of Xbox Live will be an integral part of Microsoft’s next console, while improved Kinect hardware will also ship alongside the unit. Sources with first-hand experience of Microsoft’s next generation console have told us that although the next Xbox will be absolutely committed to online functionality, games will still be made available to purchase in physical form. Next Xbox games will be manufactured on 50GB-capacity Blu-ray discs, Microsoft having conceded defeat to Sony following its ill-fated backing of the HD-DVD format. It is believed that games purchased on disc will ship with activation codes, and will have no value beyond the initial user. Our source has also confirmed that the next Xbox’s recently rumoured specs are entirely accurate. That means an AMD eight-core x64 1.6GHz CPU, a D3D11.x 800MHz graphics solution and 8GB of DDR3 RAM. As of now, the console’s hard drive capacity is said to be undecided, but Microsoft’s extended commitment to online delivery suggests that it will be the largest unit it has put inside a console to date. Though the architectures of the next-gen Xbox and PlayStation both resemble that of PCs, several development sources have told us that Sony’s solution is preferable when it comes to leveraging power. Studios working with the next-gen Xbox are currently being forced to work with only approved development libraries, while Sony is encouraging coders to get closer to the metal of its box. Furthermore, the operating system overhead of Microsoft’s next console is more oppressive than Sony’s equivalent, giving the PlayStation-badged unit another advantage. Unlike Nintendo, Microsoft is continuing to invest heavily in motion-control interfaces, and a new, more reliably responsive Kinect will also ship alongside the next Xbox. Sony’s next-generation console camera system is said to have a similar set of features, and is expected to be discussed at the company’s PlayStation event on February 20.

GTA5 buy out Left 4 Dead

According to OXM GTA5's Take-Two Interactive has purchesed Left 4 Dead's studio Turtle Rock for 10.8 Million dollars. Take Two is already in the works with a rumored first person sci fi shooter, "Evolve". This game will be relased on current gen consoles as welll as next gen consoles. Dead Space 3 Demo (w/ Video)

Just finished playing the Dead Space 3 co-op campaign demo with one of my buddies. It was amazing but was too short. Found a video online. Enjoi some co-op action.

I also was able to use my Kinect. I though it worked really well with the game. I was unsure of the list of commands for the kinect but I was able to give voice commands to view the current objective and give ammo to my co-op parnter. Overall the demo was pretty solid.

Dead Space 3 will be released Tuesday, February 5 2013.
